Lawn Fawn Fun at the LSS

Given so many of my stamping/card making friends no longer have access to a local stamp store (LSS), I consider myself fortunate to have a great one nearby — Stamp Fever in Orange, CA. It’s not a huge store, but they have a nice selection of stamps and offer lots of classes and events.

Linda & the Lawn Fawn Crew

On Saturday, Stamp Fever played host for a really fun event with Lawn Fawn, another company local to me. The photo above (photo credit: Nancy)  shows Linda, the shop manager, on the left along with the Lawn Fawn Crew. Kelly Marie, the owner of Lawn Fawn, is pictured second from the right. She brought along lots of extra Lawn Fawn product which we we were able to purchase for 15% off during the event. How awesome is that?!!

During the event, Kelly Marie, her awesome crew, and the shop’s design team members, were on hand to help attendees create an adorable shaker ornament using Lawn Fawn’s new Toboggan Together and Ready, Set, Snow stamp sets as well as the Ready, Set, Snow Shaker Add-On die set. Here’s a photo of my finished ornament that I took in my car as soon as I left the shop Saturday.

Lawn Fawn | Shaker Die & Tobaggan Together

Isn’t it just so stinkin’ cute?!! I will definitely be making more of these. Since we could purchase Lawn Fawn products for 15% off that day, I took advantage and picked up the Ready, Set, Snow stamp set and the shaker add-on die set. I already owned the Tobaggan Together set, so I’m good to go now! Of course, I’m already envisioning making lots of other snowglobe shakers with this set as well, and not just for Christmas/winter!

As for how to make this shaker ornament, the snowglobe base and label were pre-colored for us, so that sped things along. Each attendee colored their own little deer using Copic markers. I’m not going to cover all the details of how we actually assembled the shaker ornament because Kelly Marie did that already in her Intro to Ready, Set, Snow Shaker Add-On video posted on the Lawn Fawn blog and YouTube channel. In case you missed it, here it is:

I can’t wait to start making more of these adorable snowglobe shakers! Have you purchased this set? If so, what are you planning to make with it? Leave me a comment below and let me know.
Until next time …
