Twinkle – CTMH Stamp of the Month

Each month, Close to My Heart (CTMH) has a featured stamp of the month which can be purchased for $5 with any qualifying $50 purchase. As is evidenced by the photo below, I clearly had NO problem qualifying for this month’s stamp. LOL!

Don’t worry, I don’t make a purchase this large very often. I generally place one huge order per year, and this happened to be the one for this year. The October stamp of the month is usually a holiday/winter themed set, so that’s when I generally make my one large purchase each year. I actually got the polar bear stamp I used earlier this week as a stamp of the month purchase with my October order last year.

Little Red Wagon Challenge Feature

Speaking of that card, as you may remember, I entered it in a couple of challenges. It was actually selected as a favorite design in the Little Red Wagon embossing folder challenge. This is my first time being recognized during a challenge, so it’s quite an honor, especially considering I’ve only entered about a dozen thus far.

Now, back to the current stamp of the month. This set is called Twinkle and I absolutely LOVE it! It retails for $17.95, but can be purchased this month for $5 with any qualifying $50 purchase. I’m not affiliated with CTMH other than as a customer. All the links to CTMH products will take you to my BFF’s website who is a consultant.

I used the elongated ornament stamp to create this card. I saw a similar card posted in a CTMH-related group I’m in on Facebook and immediately knew I wanted to CASE it. I created the cut file for my Cricut Explore in Design Space then cut it using CTMH’s White Daisy card stock. I also used White Daisy card stock for the card base. I used their new Pomegranate card stock for the color panel and used their new Pomegranate ink for the stamping.

To assemble the card, I adhered the Pomegranate panel directly to the card base using my ATG gun. I then added the stamped panel using some Scotch 3M foam tape to give it some added dimension. No card is complete without a little bling, so I covered all the stripes in the ornament with some clear Wink of Stella glitter brush pen. To finish things off, I tied a small bow from some ivory May Arts twine and adhered it with a  Zots Bling glue dot.

This card went together incredibly fast. In fact, I actually created four of them in under half an hour, and that’s including the cutting time on my Explore. I did multitask a bit though. As my Explore was cutting the ornament panels, I used my Fiskars paper trimmer to cut the Pomegranate panels, so that helped speed things along. I also used my MISTI stamping tool for the stamping and was able to stamp the ornament and sentiment at the same time since I used the same ink color for both. This would be an awesome mass production card!

Until next time …
