Wow, I feel at a bit of a loss here on my blog today. I don’t have any “homework” to do for a class. LOL That being said, I still sat down at my craft table and made this CAS (clean and simple) card. I changed my mind on the layout and design a couple of times along the way, but I’m really happy with how it turned out in the end.
I was originally planning to use one of the Stitched Party Banner dies from Lawn Fawn, but ended up decided to use their largest Stitched Circle Tag instead as well as one of their Stitched Snowflakes. All of the cardstock and paper I used, as well as the ribbon and ink, are from Stampin’ Up. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.
I adhered two 1/2″ strips of the patterned paper directly to the card base on either side using some tape runner. After stamping my sentiment on the panel, I popped it up using some 2mm fun foam and adhered it to the card base.
I adhered my tag elements together using some liquid adhesive. I added the ribbon embellishment and then adhered the tag to my card using some more of the fun foam. For a little bit of sparkle, I went over the red snowflake die cut with my clear Wink of Stella glitter brush pen.
I’m entering this card in the following challenges:
- CAS on Sunday – the current theme is using a tag.
- Hero Arts Holiday Cardmaking Challenge – the theme is anything goes, but you must use at least one Hero Arts product in your design.
Until next time …
