I had so much fun making the Halloween treat box yesterday that I decided to make another one today. This time I focused on making a bit of a “dressier” version. Since I explained how to create one of these little boxes in yesterday’s post, I won’t go into those details again. I’ll just share the materials I used for this version.
Blue and silver is one of my absolute favorite combinations when I want something elegant, so that’s the direction I went today. Here’s how it turned out:
For this box, I used some Sapphire card stock from Close to My Heart for the base of the box. Since CTMH cardstock is white core, I used a B34 Copic marker to go over all the cut edges to cover the exposed white. For the lid of the box, I used some silver glitter paper from the Glitzy Glitter stack from DCWV.
I created the bow using the 1-2-3 Punch Board from We R Memory Keepers. It’s kind of difficult to see in the photo, but I did a bit of Copic coloring on each of the loops to give the bow a little more dimension. I used B32, B34, B37, and B39 for that. It’s really subtle, even in person, but it definitely makes a difference, I think.
Until next time …
