Paper Pumpkin – Lovely Little Wreath

I received my April Paper Pumpkin kit from Stampin’ Up!® last weekend. I finally had a chance this afternoon to open it up and assemble this month’s project. Instead of being cards this month, it was an adorable home decor project which was super quick and easy to make. It actually took less than half an hour from start to finish!

One of the things I love about Paper Pumpkin vs. most other kits on the market is it includes everything needed to create the project except the scissors. Here’s a quick video that shows everything included with the kit and how easy it was to assemble.

When you sign up as a subscriber, they even send the acrylic block in your first shipment. How cool is that?! I did use one extra item from my craft stash to use on this month’s project. I used a sponge wedge to add a bit of the Very Vanilla craft ink around the edges of my sentiment piece. I thought that helped give it even more of a chalkboard appearance.

Even though I decided to use the Happy Spring sentiment, I think the other sentiments in the included stamp set are really great and would have worked just as well, too. There’s a Happy Mother’s Day sentiment as well as an all-purpose sentiment that says “To The Loveliest Person I Know.” I can’t wait to use that one on some cards in the future!

Mel's Card Corner | April 2016 Paper Pumpkin Bonus Set

This month’s kit actually included a large bonus stamp set as well. This was definitely a very rare treat! March was the third anniversary of the launch of Paper Pumpkin and also just happened to be the month in which they shipped their one millionth Paper Pumpkin kit! To celebrate, all subscribers received this bonus stamp set called “All About Everything” this month. I love the wide variety of sentiments it includes and the layering flower stamps are very on trend at the moment.

If you are interested in the Paper Pumpkin kit, please visit my Paper Pumpkin sign-up page. For anyone who becomes one of my Paper Pumpkin subscribers, I will provide you 8-10 exclusive bonus projects each month using the materials from the kit for as long as you remain a subscriber. If you would prefer to prepay for a longer subscription vs. being billed monthly, you can find that option in my online store. If you prepay for a 6-month or longer subscription, you will each save a couple of dollars each month off the regular monthly price.

Until next time …
