15 Cards in Two Hours

As much as I love creating one of a kind cards, I love card kits, too. They make it a snap to knock out several cards pretty quickly.

Since I’m still taking it a bit easy as I recover, I decided to pull out a card kit I purchased last Spring but hadn’t used yet. This particular kit included everything needed except the ink (suggested colors were included in the kit information) and adhesive, including the stamp set, sequins, twine, and envelopes. Two hours later, I had 15 cards finished and ready to go, and that included cutting all the paper which started as 12×12″ sheets!

Unfortunately, this kit has been discontinued, so it’s no longer available for purchase. Here’s a closer look at each of the cards. As always, you may click on any image for a larger view.

Since this card kit included five cards each of three designs, I used my Mini Misti from My Sweet Petunia to do all the stamping. It made putting these cards together a snap! I only have to line up the image once and then could crank through stamping all five cards really quickly.

Of course, birthday cards should always include a little sparkle, right? I used a Spectrum Noir Sparkle clear overlay pen from Crafter’s Companion to go over some of the elements on each of the three card designs. Here are some close up views showing off the sparkle.

Do you ever purchase card kits? If so, what are some of your favorite companies and why do you like their kits? I’m always on the lookout for great card kits.

Until next time …
