There’s really nothing prettier or more elegant than the combination of cream and gold. This combination was my inspiration for this one layer card.
I started by creating an A2 top-folding card base from Very Vanilla cardstock. I used a couple of different images from the Timeless Textures stamp set from Stampin’ Up!® to create a border along the left side of the card. I stamped them using Soft Suede ink from Stampin’ Up, but stamped off once before stamping on my card to create a softer look.
Next, I added a couple of gear flourishes along the bottom using the retired A Thing Well Done hostess set from Close to My Heart. I stamped it a couple of times first using the same stamping off technique using Soft Suede ink. Once that ink was dry, I stamped it again using VersaMark ink then heat embossed it in gold. To finish the card, I stamped a sentiment from the A Thing Well Done set using Soft Suede ink. I didn’t stamp off first for it though. I used the ink full strength.
I’m entering this card in the following challenges:
- StampNation – World Card Making Day challenge #8. (membership required)
- Addicted to Stamps and More – the current theme is anything goes.
Until next time …
