Wonderland Christmas

In the recently released holiday catalog from Stampin’ Up!®, I noticed a really adorable CAS (clean and simple) card made using the Totally Trees stamp set. As soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to CASE (copy and share everything) it. Instead of using Totally Trees, I pulled out the Wonderland stamp set (retired) from last year’s holiday catalog which is one of my absolute favorites. Love those trees!

The original card was a single layer card, but I decided I wanted a bit more color on mine, so I went with some simple layers. I started by stamping the cluster of trees from the stamp set on a piece of white cardstock using VersaMark ink. I then heat embossed it using Verdigris embossing powder from Ranger.

Next, I added a sentiment from the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set from Stampin’ Up using Real Red ink. Since I wanted to ensure I got a crisp image, I used my Mini Misti which allowed me to double stamp it to get a nice rich color. Here’s a closer look that really shows off the GORGEOUS Verdigris embossing powder.

After my stamping and embossing was finished, I adhered the focal panel to a piece of Real Red cardstock. I love the little extra pop of color it adds. I then adhered that to a top-folding A2 card base created using heavyweight white cardstock.

I’m entering this card in the following challenges:

Until next time …
