In case you haven’t heard already, there are some big things happening today over at Catherine Pooler Designs! The Foundations Box she launched recently will be back in stock soon and will ship in time for Christmas! She also has a new Holiday Wrap-Up mini release that’s launching TODAY. She’s also added an amazing Friendship Bracelet which is not only beautiful, but supports a group of artisans in Rwanda. Yay for new products!!
There are four products included in the Holiday Wrap-Up release. They can be purchased individually or as a bundle at a discounted price. This release contains all the stamps you need to not only create some great tags or last minute cards, but the stamps you’ll need to create all those thank you cards after the holidays, too! You could even use the images to create your own custom wrapping paper!
Here’s a list of the products included in this mini release:
- Holiday Mittens 4×6″ stamp set
- Holiday Mittens coordinating dies
- Still Smiling 4×6″ stamp set
- Sending Blessings 2×3″ stamp set
I wanted a couple of project ideas I made using products from the mini release. All of the inks I’ve used are from from the Foundations Box, and I used one die from a previous release. The only other items are used were a basic things from my stash like adhesive, twine, and markers.
I created this gift card tag using the Holiday Mittens stamp set and dies. To create the actual tag, I used the large banner from the Lovely Flowers and Banners die set. I cut it twice then did some repeat stamping of the sweater knit stamp using Catherine’s Rockin’ Red ink. I scored and folded the top third down on one of the pieces then adhered them together using 1/8″ ScorTape. I used a simple hole punch to add the hole at the top of the tag.
Next, I added the sentiment using Midnight ink which I also used to stamp the mittens on a scrap piece of paper. I colored the mittens using a blender pen and Fiesta Blue ink then cut them out using the coordinating dies. I adhered the mitten embellishment to my tag then added a bit of twine through the top and I was done. This tag was super quick & easy to make and so much cuter than the plain white envelopes that usually come with gift cards. You could even hang it on the tree as an ornament!
For my next card, I used the images from the Still Smiling stamp set. I created a couple of simple masks from sticky notes and stamped the flower three times using Catherine’s Midnight ink, overlapping them slightly. I filled in around the flowers using the leaf image. I colored them using my Copic markers then added some dot details using a white gel pen. After the coloring was completed, I stamped the sentiment images in Midnight and added some thick black & white baker’s twine around the top to finish the card.
Catherine has also put together some great gift ideas for the paper crafter in your life in her Paper Crafter’s Gift Guide. Or, you can also just share the link to the gift collection in her shop with your partner so YOU can get some awesome crafty goodness for the holidays, too! Orders placed by no later than December 19 should arrive by Christmas on U.S. orders, but I would definitely recommend ordering sooner rather than later to ensure it arrives on time!
Until next time …
