Glamper Christmas

I’m back today with another Christmas card. I created this card for some dear friends of mine who purchased a motor home earlier this year and have embarked on their first winter as snowbirds. When I saw this camper stamp set called Glamper Greetings in the Stampin’ Up holiday catalog this year, I knew it would be perfect for their card!

I started by doing all my stamping first. The camper outline, Christmas lights, snow on top of the camper, the snowman, and the Christmas tree were stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on a piece of Whisper White cardstock. I added the details to the camper (horizontal lines and crosshatching) using Memento London Fog. I finished by stamping a little wreath around the opening of the door using Memento Bamboo Leaves for the wreath and Memento Lady Bug for the bow.

After I finished my stamping, I used a Memento Tuxedo Black marker to draw in the ground to connect all the images. I masked off the stamped images and ground then added my sky. I used the largest Puffy Cloud Border die from Lawn Fawn to cut out a cloud shape from some copy paper. I used that as a makeshift mask to create the sky. I placed it on the card then used a sponge dauber to apply Soft Sky ink at the top of the card then worked my way down shifting the cloud mask each time to avoid getting a repeating pattern. Once I had all my clouds in place, I sponged some Marina Mist around the edges to give the scene a little more depth.

I removed all the masks then colored my stamped images with Copic markers. Once all the coloring was done, I stamped another sentiment (from the same stamp set) inside the card that says, “Have a happy holiday.” Finally, I added some clear Sparkle pen to all the snow elements and the Christmas lights hanging on the camper. I adhered my colored panel to one of the card bases included in the Foundations Box from Catherine Pooler Designs and that finished my card.

I’m entering this card in the following challenge:

One Last Thing …

Paper Players - Cut Above

I want to take a moment to say thanks to the Design Team over at The Paper Players. They selected my Christmas Across the Miles card as one of their featured winners in the last challenge. As always, I’ve updated my Challenge Wins/Features page to reflect this latest honor. Thanks again, DT!!

Until next time …

Hi Gina, this card isn’t available via retail. It’s one I made last year for some friends of mine. Since I gave it to them, I don’t have it any longer.
