It’s finally here! The new Stamp of Approval collection titled The Perfect Reason has officially been released! As a reminder, these products won’t be available for individual purchase for several months and the combined price of purchasing all the products individually will also be quite a bit more than purchasing the collection now. If you’re interested in most of the products, buying the collection is definitely the way to go. They tend to sell out pretty quickly once the link goes live to the public, so I would recommend ordering the collection sooner rather than later to ensure you don’t miss out.
For my card today, I once again used the Mod Squared Stencil to create my background. Unlike the card I posted on Monday, this time I used it for an inked background. I applied some Fiesta Blue ink using one of my Clarity Stencil Brushes. I kept the ink much softer in the upper right corner so it wouldn’t overpower my sentiment.
The sentiment is from the namesake stamp set (The Perfect Reason) for this collection. I stamped it using Midnight ink. Since I wanted to ensure a nice crisp image, I used the Mini MISTI for this step and double stamped the image.
For my flower focal point, I stamped more images from the Perfect Reason stamp set. For the red flowers, I used Rockin’ Red for the outer portion and Party Dress for the inner portion. On the orange flowers, I used Tiki Torch for the outer portion and Tiara for the inner portion. I stamped the leaves using Grass Skirt. I finished off the flowers by going over the outer portions on all of them with my clear Sparkle pen from Spectrum Noir.
Once I have everything stamped, I die cut all the images using the coordinating dies. I also used the Perfect Vines dies to cut come vellum vines. I arranged all the pieces then adhered them to my stenciled panel with some liquid glue.
To tie in the black ink I used for my sentiment, I matted my stenciled panel on a piece of black card stock leaving a very tiny border showing. I then adhered that to an A2 top-folding card back made from Catherine’s premium card stock and that finished my card.
I really hope you’ve all enjoyed all the cards I’ve shared from this collection over the past few days. Between all four cards I’ve shared, I’ve used all the products available in this collection. If you’re a StampNation member, I have a couple of other cards over there. One is for the new challenge which kicked off today. The other is a card I created during our live slumber party event last night which was inspired by a blog hop card created by guest designer Amy Kolling. Here’s a little sneak peek of each.
Until next time …
