Calling All Sistahs March Blog Hop

Calling All Sistahs Badge

Today is March 17, so you know what that means! Yes, I know that means it’s St. Patrick’s Day, but it also means it’s time for another monthly Calling All Sistahs blog hop to remind everyone to perform their monthly breast self-exam. If you’re not sure how to perform a self-exam, click here for more information.

You should have arrived here from the CAS-ual Fridays blog. If you didn’t, no worries. I’ll provide a list to the entire blog hop at the end of my post. There are three $15 gift certifications to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps online store up for grabs as part of this hop, so be sure to visit each stop along the hop and leave a comment by no later than 12am ET on March 19 for a chance to win!

Mel's Card Corner | Calling All Sistahs March Blog Hop

For my card for this month’s hop, I decided to create a very soft look by using Very Vanilla and Blushing Bride card stocks from Stampin’ Up!® I started by die cutting one of the border from the Linked Fri-Dies set from my Very Vanilla panel as well as from a piece of Blushing Bride so I could create an inlaid die cut. I used some 1″ Scor-Tape on the back of the Very Vanilla piece to hold all the die cuts once I laid them in place.

For the focal image, I stamped one of the floral images from the Mon Ami stamp set in the lower right corner of the Very Vanilla panel using Basic Black ink. I used my Stampin’ Write markers in Pear Pizzazz, Blushing Bride, and Pool Party to color in the floral image.

I stamped the sentiment just above the floral image, also using the Basic Black ink. It’s one of the sentiments in the stamp set included in the Watercolor Wishes card kit from Stampin’ Up. I just love the script on the sentiments in that kit!

To assemble my card, I adhered the Very Vanilla using Dimensionals to an A2 top-folding card base made from Blushing Bride card stock. For a bit of shimmer, I went over all the elements in the floral image with a clear Wink of Stella pen and that completed my card.

As promised at the beginning of my post, here’s the list for the complete hop. As a reminder, be sure to visit all the stops and leave a comment to be eligible for the giveaway.

Until next time …
