If you follow me on Instagram, you may have seen a stack of 50 thank you cards I created on Sunday. I really loved how the simple design turned out for those cards, so I decided to revisit it today with a couple of tweaks as part of my on-going spotlight on the Succulent Garden designer series paper from Stampin’ Up!®
For this card, I started by cutting a piece of Whisper White cardstock to 4 x 5.25″. I stamped the large thank you sentiment near the top of the panel using Mint Macaron ink. The sentiment is from the So Very Much stamp set which is a Sale-a-Bration exclusive set available through March 31, 2017, while supplies last. I then stamped the smaller so very much sentiment from the same stamp set beneath the large thank you. For an accent, I cut a 1.5 x 4″ piece of DSP from the Succulent Garden paper pack. I adhered it flush to the bottom of the Whisper White panel using tape runner.
For a little sparkle, I wrapped a piece of the silver metallic ribbon (another Sale-a-Bration exclusive item) around the panel and finished it with a knot. I added a mini glue dot behind the knot the keep it in place on the panel. I then adhered the panel to an A2 top-folding card base made from Mint Macaron card stock and that completed my card.
I’m entering this card in the following challenges:
- TGIF Challenges – the current theme is to CASE Mercedes Weber. I chose to CASE this card from Mercedes. The elements of her design I included on my card were the use of a thank you sentiment, a soft monochromatic color, and a clean and simple design.
- CAS on Sunday – the current theme is to use a sentiment only.
- CASology – the current theme is text.
As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, you may have seen this photo on my Instagram over the weekend. I created these cards using some of the 2014-2016 retired In Colors I still have in my stash. Instead of using ribbon on these cards, I used washi tape. Since I was mass producing so many cards, I also opted to just use the large thank you sentiment and left off the smaller coordinating sentiment to save myself a step. These cards went together so quickly! I finished all 50 cards, including all the cutting, in less than 2.5 hours.
I hope you’ll stop by again tomorrow. I’ll be sharing another card one final card in my Succulent Garden product spotlight. I’ll also be sharing the latest sketch design in the Paper & Ink Sketches series. As always, I have included links to all the supplies I used for this card after my signature. If you live in the U.S. and would like to purchase any of these supplies, or any other current Stampin’ Up merchandise, please visit my online store.
Until next time …
