Yesterday was International Women’s Day. In honor of all the amazing women I’m blessed to call friends, I created this card yesterday. I colored the stamped image for day 7 of the 30 Day Coloring Challenge, but thought it would be perfect to use for a card honoring all my female friends.
I started by stamping the image (Tricia Girl from Unity Stamp Co.) on a piece of Bristol Smooth card stock using Intense Black ink from Simon Says Stamp. I colored her using Zig Real Brush Clean Color pens and a water brush to blend out the colors. After I finished the colored, I trimmed the panel down and matted it on a piece of Bermuda Bay card stock from Stampin’ Up!®
I used one of the sentiments from the new Frankly’isms stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps. I stamped it directly on the card base which is made from Crushed Curry card stock by Stampin’ Up. I stamped it using VersaFine Onyx Black ink then heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. I then adhered the focal image and that completed the card.
I’m entering this card in the following challenge:
- Simon Says Stamp Wednesday – the current theme is for a special lady/girl.
- Time Out Challenges – the current theme is love/friendship.
One Last Thing …
I just want to take a moment to thank the Design Team over at the Just Add Ink challenge. They selected my Adulting is Hard card as winner of their last challenge. Thanks for the honor, DT! I’ve updated my Challenge Wins/Features page to include this latest win.
Until next time …
