Freshly Picked: You’re So Sweet

I’m back again with another card created using products from the new Freshly Picked release from Catherine Pooler Designs. Fruit stamps sets are so on trend right now and Catherine’s new I Pick You set is awesome! There are coordinating dies available for this stamp set, but I didn’t use them on the card I created for today’s post. Check it out …

I started by using the strawberry image and repeatedly stamping it on my background layer using Rockin’ Red ink to create my own patterned paper. I added the little stem using Grass Skirt ink. To fill in some of the remaining white spaces, I stamped one of the dot cluster stamps from the Best in You stamp set using Icing on the Cake ink from the new Neutrals Collection of inks from Catherine. I also used the Icing on the Cake ink to stamp one of the sentiments from I Pick You on a 1″ wide piece of white card stock.

To help my background panel pop from my card a bit more, I created a matching mat by doing a direct-to-paper inking technique using Rockin’ Red. Once the ink was dry, I adhered the stamped layer then wrapped the matted layer with a bit of red ribbon from my stash. I created a simple ribbon loop which I adhered over the ribbon wrap. I added a fishtail end to the sentiment strip and adhered it over the ribbon loop using some dimensional adhesive to finish the card.

Thanks for stopping by! As a reminder, the Freshly Picked release is now available in Catherine’s shop, so be sure to head over and pick up some of these fun new products.

Until next time …
