Tilly’s Magic Garden

Catherine Pooler launched quite a few new products in her online store today! Not only is there a new stamp set, hello word die, and stencil, but she’s also added a whole slew of craft room essentials … including some new 100 lb colored card stock! There’s even a handy Magic Garden I Want It All bundle to make shopping easy! You’ll definitely want to hear over to her store to check out all the new goodies, but let me share a card first using some of these new supplies.

For this card, I used the new stamp set called Tilly’s Magic Garden. This set was illustrated by the amazing Lydia Evans! If you want to learn more about the name behind this stamp set, be sure to head over and check out Lydia’s post.

I started my using some of the various layering floral images from the stamp set and various colors of Catherine’s inks to create my own patterned paper. I then used the new hello word die to cut the hello from the floral paper I created as well as from the new Smoke card stock. It’s a beautiful dark gray color and is a wonderful weight!

I adhered the floral panel to a white layer using liquid glue then inlaid the Smoke hello die cut in the negative space. To give the panel a bit more pop, I added a Smoke scalloped border on either side. I created the scalloped borders by cutting the scalloped rectangle from the Birthday Journal Card Die then used my paper trimmer to cut off the two long scalloped edges which I then adhered to the white layer.

I matted the white panel using more of the Smoke card stock. I adhered it to a top-folding white card base using some foam tape. For a bit of bling, I added some drops of Nuvo Jewel Drops in coordinating colors and that completed the card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today. Be sure to come back tomorrow and I’ll show you how I used the leftover hello die cut on another card. For now though, be sure to head over to Catherine’s shop to check out all the amazing new goodies!

Until next time …
