It’s time for the monthly Calling All Sistahs encouragement card challenge. Each month, we challenge participants to create an encouragement card using either the photo, colors, or both from the mood board as inspiration for your card. One winner will be selected each month by the Encouragement Squad design team and will win a $25 gift certificate to the CAS-ual Fridays Stamps online store. If the winner has used stamps and/or dies from CAS-ual Fridays Stamps on their project, the gift certificate will be DOUBLED to $50!
I decided to use the color challenge for my card. I stamped the large smile from the Sassy Smiles stamp set from CFS on a white panel using various shades of pink inks. I used the Mini Misti for this step to ensure I got all three images spaced evenly. I ended up getting a little smudge of pink ink in the upper right corner of the panel, so I stamped the little heart image from the stamp set using some brown ink to cover it. I then matted the panel using a piece of pink card stock.
I created a top-folding card base using white card stock. I stamped one of the coordinating sentiments from the Sassy Smiles stamp set using the same brown ink I used to stamp the heart.
To assemble the card, I wrapped some linen thread around the card front securing it with a piece of tape in the center of the card front. I adhered the matted smile panel over the linen thread using foam squares. For a final bit of bling, I added some sheer Sparkle Pen over the little brown heart.
