I started by creating the background panel. I stamped the Thread Sketch Stamp from Fun Stampers Journey on white card stock using Icing on the Cake ink from Catherine Pooler Designs. I trimmed the panel down a bit and matted it on a piece of Chocolate card stock, also from Catherine Pooler.
Next I moved on to stamping the focal image and sentiment. I stamped the coffee cup on white card stock using Jet Black ink from Lawn Fawn. I also used the circle and heart images from the stamp set to decorate the cup. I stamped the sentiment on a 1″ strip of Chocolate card stock using VersaMark ink than heat set it using Opaque Bright White embossing powder.
I colored the coffee cup using Copic markers. Here are the colors I used:
- Main cup: E31, E33, E35, E37
- Lid: C5, C3, C1, C00
- Circle: YG11, YG17, G28
- Heart: R27, R39
Once I had the coloring down, I die cut the cup using the coordinating dies. I adhered the sentiment strip to the background panel using tape runner. I then adhered the panel to a top-folding card base made of Neenah Desert Storm card stock. I adhered the die cut coffee cup over the sentiment using foam squares. For a bit of embellishment, I added a coat of clear Sparkle Pen over the heart then a layer of Glossy Accents and that completed the card.
