I’m back with another homework card for the Merry Making class currently underway at Online Card Classes. I really wanted to try all three of the amazing techniques which were presented in the day two lessons, but I’ve not been feeling well today, so I decided to just go with the one which would require the least work on my part. LOL
As I mentioned in my day one homework card post, I won’t be sharing the specific details of the techniques I’m using on my homework cards during this class. Since there is a fee for the class, I don’t think it would be fair to the instructors or other paying class members to share specifics of what we’re learning. Thanks for understanding!
I used three different stamp sets on this card. The snowflake is from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set from Stampin’ Up. The sentiment is from the Merry & Bright stamp set from Simon Says Stamp. The background is the Ornamental Background from the Winterhaven Stamp of Approval collection from Catherine Pooler Designs. All of the inking was done using It’s a Girl ink, also from Catherine Pooler.
I added a little bling to the card with some iridescent pink flat sequins I had in my stash. I think they were from some kit I purchased in the past, but I don’t remember from whom. I adhered them to the card using Multi Medium Matte.
I think this card would be a great option for mass producing. In fact, I may use this design for part of my holiday cards this year. I really love how it turned out! I kept everything flat on my design because I try to avoid needing extra postage on my holiday cards. If you wanted, you could certainly pop up the focal panel from the background which would really give the card some more depth.
Until next time …
