Merry Making – Day 3

Mel's Card Corner | Merry Making Class

I’m back with my day three homework card for the Merry Making class at Online Card Classes. One again, three great techniques were presented during the day three lesson. For my homework card, I decided to use the technique presented by Gina from Gina K. Designs.

I absolutely love how this card turned out. I used foliage images from Winnie & Walter and Catherine Pooler Designs to create the wreath. The sentiment and small holly icon are both from Hero Arts. I stamped the images using inks from Catherine Pooler in Lime Rickey, Grass Skirt, Icing on the Cake, and Rockin’ Red.

To give the card a bit of added interest, I matted the focal panel on a white layer then adhered it to a red card base using foam tape. I die cut the sentiment using a stitched circle die from Stampin’ Up then adhered it using foam tape. For a finishing touch, I added a bit of clear Sparkle pen over the small holly leaves and berries on the sentiment circle.

Until next time …
