We’re down to our final day of the blog hops for the new Paradise Found release from Catherine Pooler Designs. For today’s card, I’m focusing on the new Plaid Background stamp. This stamp is absolutely fabulous! While it’s great for holiday cards, it’s certainly a background which can be used all year long since it’s just a nice classic plaid. I’ve decided to dress it up a bit today though.
I started by creating a top-folding card base using Very Vanilla Thick cardstock from Stampin’ Up!® I stamped the Plaid Background on the front using VersaMark ink then heat embossed it in gold.
I pulled out my Big Shot and then did a bit of die cutting. I cut the largest tag out of Very Vanilla card stock using the Good Stuff Dies from the recent Winterhaven Stamp of Approval collection. I also used the snowflakes from the die set and cut a few of them from Very Vanilla as well. I dabbed them on my VersaMark ink pad then heat embossed them using the Wanderlust embossing powder.
Since I wanted to use the gift tag as my sentiment panel, I used my paper snips to trim away the little tag loop. I stamped the sentiment from the Wonderful Time of the Year stamp set on the tag using Royal Treatment ink. I then added a few of the snowflakes from the same stamp set scattered around the tag to fill in the empty spaces.
I adhered the sentiment panel to the card base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. The tag was a bit wider than the card base, so I just used my scissors to trim away the excess. Finally, I adhered the tucked the embossed snowflakes around the sentiment tag and adhered them down using a bit of liquid glue.
Here’s a list of the participants for today’s blog hop. Be sure to visit all of them to see the incredible creations they’ve made using products from the Paradise Found release.
