Coloring with Lots of Lavender

Today’s card is just a variation of the one I posted yesterday. On that card, I did everything with stamping. For today’s card, I’m using the same stamp set (Lots of Lavender from Stampin’ Up!®), but coloring everything with Stampin’ Blends markers instead. I think this really shows off how versatile this stamp set can be for all types of crafters. It’s great for those who like to color, but since it includes the two-step stamping layers, it’s also great for those who just want to stamp and have no interest in coloring.

Since I planned to use my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers, I started by stamping the image using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored the flowers using the Rich Razzleberry combo, the leaves and stems with the Old Olive combo, and the bow with the Pool Party combo.

I flicked black specks on the focal panel again using the same Stampin’ Write marker technique I shared in yesterday’s post. The sentiment, from Heartfelt Blooms, was done the exact same way as well, as was the final assembly of the card.

If you don’t have the Stampin’ Blends markers, you could also color this image with any of our other coloring mediums. It would be equally beautiful done with watercolor pencils or even using one of our blender pens to pick up ink from our ink pads.

Until next time …
