You may have heard by now, Stampin’ Up!® is undergoing a major color revamp when the new catalog launches on June 1. A total of 13 current colors will be retiring (cue the sad trombone), but the good news is we’ll be getting 10 new colors (plus five new In Colors) along with some returning favorite In Colors from the past.
First, let’s start with the new collection of In Colors for 2018-2020. I absolutely LOVE these new In Colors! I’m definitely drawn more toward bright ink colors, so these colors make me happy happy. The new colors are on the left and the returning 2017-2019 In Colors are on the right. On all of these photos, you can click the image to see a larger view.
Now, we’ll move on to the returning favorites from past In Color collections. These colors will now be added to the collection of core colors.
Next, these are the 10 new colors being added to the core color collection. These are completely new colors.
Since we have so many colors retiring and so many new colors coming into the core collection of colors, Stampin’ Up has realigned some of the color collections. The Neutrals collection has expanded to include more colors, while Whisper White, Very Vanilla, and Basic Black have been removed to a new category called Basics. Here’s a peek at all of the new color collections as they will be aligned effective June 1. I’m completely smitten with the new Brights collection!
I’ll wrap things up by sharing the 13 core colors which will be retiring. Since these colors will be leaving us for good, you’ll definitely want to grab ink pads, reinkers, cardstock, etc. for any of these colors if you love them. Since it’s been officially announced these colors are retiring, I have no doubt the reinkers and cardstock will sell out QUICKLY since these items are available only while supplies last. If you want them, buy them now before they’re gone for good!
I hope you’ve enjoyed this overview of the upcoming color revamp. While it’s always sad to say goodbye to colors we know and love, it’s also really exciting to have so many new colors to play with this year vs. just the normal five new In Colors.
Oh, I forgot to mention, there has also been a redesign of the ink pads themselves and a bit of tweak to the ink formula. I should have my new In Color ink pads in a couple of days, so I’ll tell you all more about that when I have my hands on the newly designed ink pad and can show it off you.
Until next time …
