Tropically Yours SOA Blog Hop – Day 1

Mel's Card Corner | Tropically Yours SOA Blog Hop

It’s Stamp of Approval time again! Today we’re kicking off a big three-day blog hop showcasing projects made using the new Tropically Yours collection which will be released in a few days. Here’s a rundown of the schedule for this release:

  • July 15 – Blog Hop Day 1
  • July 16 – Blog Hop Day 2
  • July 17 – Blog Hop Day 3
    • 9pm ET Pre-release Party for StampNation members
  • July 18 – Release Day
    • 9am ET for people on the wait list
    • 6pm ET for general release

If you aren’t familiar with Stamp of Approval, it’s an exclusive collection of products from Catherine Pooler Designs curated to work together. The collection sells for $97 plus shipping, but contains around $120 (or more!) retail value of products. The products in the collection will be released in Catherine’s store at a later date, but they won’t be available again for several months and won’t be an entire collection again at the discounted price. So, if you want these items now and for the best price possible, be sure to get on the wait list to ensure you are one of the first to receive the ordering link. Since these collections often sell out during the wait list ordering window, there may not be any left by the time the general release window opens.

Want to get in ahead of even the wait list? Join StampNation! One of the perks of a StampNation membership is getting the ordering link twelve hours before the wait list members!

For my first card today, I used several stamps from the collection. I used the Canvas Grunge Background, the Good Vibes Borders, and the Fearless Pursuit stamp sets. All of the inks I used on this card are from Catherine, too.

For my second card, I used one of the hexagon dies from the Cabana Tiles Dies to create a window for a shaker card. I used more of Catherine’s inks to create a beautiful rainbow background which features sunset colors in the shaker window portion. I added a sentiment from the Tropically Your stamp set and embellished the card with some palm trees created using the Fearless Pursuit stamp set and coordinating dies (available as an add-on).

Until next time …

Great cards. I especially ADORE shaker cards. I think my favorite stamp set from the collection is the Tropically Yours with the borders in a close second. I always say I don’t need any more stamps & dies and then I see the first product reveal and oh well. What’s enough?

  26. Marjorie DUMONTIER says:

Both of your tags are so great ! I really love the first one with the lettering but I think the second one has such a wonderful color combo !!
