Stamp Haul & a Card feat. Picket Fence Studios

I took advantage of a few of the sales several stamp companies generously offered for World Card Making Day last weekend. All of my goodies are starting to arrive. Woo Hoo! I do so love the smell of new stamps. 🙂 Here’s a peek at the goodies that arrived today.

As soon as I saw the My Dancing Improves and one of the sentiments in the Inappropriate Christmas stamp sets, both from Picket Fence Studios, I knew I had to use them on a card together. They were clearly destined to be together on a card. LOL

I started by stamping the ladies from My Dancing Improves on a piece of white cardstock using Jet Black ink from Lawn Fawn. Once the ink was dry, I colored the image using Copic markers. Here are the colors I used for each:

Girl on Left:

  • Hair: N5, N7, N9
  • Skin: E21, E23, E25
  • Dress: YG03, YG05, YG09
  • Shoes: YG05

Girl in Middle:

  • Hair: Y21, YR14, E99
  • Skin: E50, E21, E31
  • Dress: R24, R27, R39
  • Shoes: R27, R39

Girl on Right:

  • Hair: C5, C7, C9, BV23
  • Skin: E50, E53, B41
  • Dress: BG11, BG15, BG18
  • Shoes: BG15

Other Coloring:

  • Wine: R39
  • Wine Glass: B0000, 0
  • Background: B01, B000, B0000, 0
  • Ground: C3, C1, C00, 0

Since I’m planning to use this as a holiday card, it needed a little bling, right? For a bit of extra shimmer, I added a coat of clear Sparkle pen over all three of the dresses.

To assemble the card, I trimmed the focal panel down to 3-5/8″ x 4-7/8″ and matted it on a layer of black cardstock cut to 3-3/4″ x 5″. I adhered a piece of red patterned paper (no longer available) cut to 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ to the front of a top-folding card base made from white cardstock. I adhered the matted focal panel to the card using foam tape and that completed the card.

Until next time …
