CAS Card Featuring Sweet Dear Friend

For today’s card, I thought I would share some more of the coloring I’ve been doing for the 30 Day Coloring Challenge. Today is day 10 of the challenge, so we’re a third of the way done.

Mel's Card Corner | CAS Card Featuring Sweet Dear Friend

I started by stamping one of the images from the Sweet Dear Friend stamp stamp from Picket Fence Studios on some Neenah Solar White cardstock. Since I knew I wanted to color the image using Copic markers, I stamped it using Black Amalgam ink from Gina K. Designs.

For the sentiment, I used the To Seize or Not to Seize stamp set from Hero Arts. Half the set is filled with inspiring/motivating sentiments, and the other half is fill with funny/slightly snarky sentiments. It’s such a fun set! I also used the Black Amalgam ink to stamp the sentiment beneath the focal image.

Once I had everything stamped, I colored the image. Here are the Copic markers I used:

  • Skin: E51, E11, BV000, R20
  • Hair: E33, E35, E37
  • Dress: BG11, BG13, BG18

I knew this image and sentiment combination just begged to be a clean and simple card. I trimmed the focal panel down to 4 x 5.25″ then mounted it on a top-folding card base using foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope you enjoyed the project I’ve shared. Until next time …
