Make Stuff. Be Happy.

Since we’re at the start of another 30 Day Coloring Challenge, I thought it seemed appropriate to create a card about coloring. There are several very cool crafting/stamping-related stamps sets on the market right now. For my card today, I paired the marker from the Crafty Notes stamp set by Gina K. Designs with the stamp set from the May My Monthly Hero kit from Hero Arts. Amazingly enough, this kit is still available if you want to grab one.

I started by stamping a row of markers on a piece of white cardstock using Black Amalgam Ink from Gina K. Designs. To ensure everything was evenly spaced and aligned, I used my MISTI stamp positioning tool from My Sweet Petunia for this step.

After letting the ink dry for a bit, I used my Copic markers to color all the stamped markers. I used some cool grays for the barrel of the markers along with a variety of rainbow colors for the nibs.

After the coloring was finished, I stamped the sentiment using VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I trimmed the panel down a bit then matted it on a piece of black cardstock.

To assemble the card, I created a landscape top-folding card base from white cardstock. I adhered the piece of rainbow plaid paper from Lawn Fawn over the entire card front then adhered the matted focal panel to that using some foam tape.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope you enjoyed the project I’ve shared. Until next time …
