Rainbow Thoughts

For today’s card, I was inspired by a couple of different weekend challenges taking place. One is the Weekend Workout challenge in the AAA Cards CAS Challenge Facebook group. The other is the Weekend Color Challenge at StampNation. Both challenges were to create a card using multiple colors, so naturally I created a rainbow.

For this clean and simple one layer card, I started by using a Neenah Solar White A2 Vertical Scored Card from scrapbook.com. I used some masking paper to mask on a 1.5″ wide stripe with the lower edge being 1/2″ inch up from the bottom of the card.

To create the rainbow, I did some ink blending on the diagonal using Catherine Pooler Designs inks and Life Changing Blender Brushes. The ink colors I used were all from the Spa Collection: Rouge, Mandarin Spice, Lemongrass, Sage, Stone Blue, and Sugared Lavender.

After I finished the ink blending, I removed the masking paper and focused on the sentiment. I decided to use one of the sentiments from the Hugs for You stamp set from scrapbook.com. I stamped it using their Black Hybrid Ink and that completed this card.

Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope you enjoyed the project I’ve shared. Until next time …
