In case you haven’t heard, Scrapbook.com will be kicking off their very first Christmas in July promotion beginning tomorrow (23 July 2019). There will be specials throughout the week along with some fun freebies, too. Definitely be sure to check their site each day of the promotion (23-29 July) to ensure you don’t miss out on any of the fun.
In honor of the upcoming promotion, I thought I would share a Christmas in July card today. Enjoy!
For my card, I decided to use the current sketch from the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. I absolutely loved the layout, but did make one small tweak. I made the middle circle slightly larger than the outer circles to help accommodate the size of my sentiment stamp better.
The sentiment is from the Heartfelt Christmas stamp set from Scrapbook.com. I stamped it on a piece of Neenah Solar White cardstock using their Premium Black Hybrid ink. I then used the Hero Arts Nesting Circle Infinity Dies to cut out all the circle shapes.
To the smaller circles, I adhered a snowflake trinket using a mini glue dot. The particular trinkets I used have been discontinued, but I’ll provide a link to something very similar in the supply list below. I also adhered the sentiment circle to the larger mat circle cut from the colored cardstock. I also used the same colored cardstock to mat the patterned paper for the vertical panels on either side.
To assemble the card, I adhered a layer of the colored cardstock to a top-folding card base. To that, I adhered a smaller layer of white cardstock. Once the card base was assembled, I adhered the two vertical side pieces using some liquid glue. I finished the card by adhering the three circle elements along the middle of the card using foam squares.
I’m entering this card in the following challenge(s):
- Freshly Made Sketches – the current challenge is sketch 397.
- CAS Christmas – the current challenge is snowflake.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today. I hope you enjoyed the project I’ve shared. Until next time …
